About Endeavour

Endeavour Multi Academy Trust is determined to rigorously follow the Nolan Principles of Public Office. We have also made a decision to become a path finder with the National Governance Associations launch of their Leadership in Education Initiative Programme. We have ensured that all our schemes of delegation and terms of references reflect this practice when making decisions in the managing of our organisation. All our policies and contracts will also reflect this ethical practice. We understand that we are responsible for the use of tax payer’s money so it is important that we demonstrate the qualities that are set out below.

Below you will find the framework and its principles;


The Ethical Framework for Educational Leadership is based upon the seven principles of public life. These are called the Nolan Principles.

Selflessness School and college leaders should act solely in the interest of children and young people.

Integrity School and college leaders must avoid placing themselves under any obligation to people or organisations that might try inappropriately to influence them in their work. Before acting and taking decisions, they must declare and resolve openly any perceived conflict of interest and relationships.

Objectivity School and college leaders must act and take decisions impartially and fairly, using the best evidence and without discrimination or bias. Leaders should be dispassionate, exercising judgement and analysis for the good of children and young people.

Accountability School and college leaders are accountable to the public for their decisions and actions and must submit themselves to the scrutiny necessary to ensure this.

Openness School and college leaders should expect to act and take decisions in an open and transparent manner. Information should not be withheld from scrutiny unless there are clear and lawful reasons for so doing.

Honesty School and college leaders should be truthful.

Leadership School and college leaders should exhibit these principles in their own behaviour. They should actively promote and robustly support the principles, and be willing to challenge poor behaviour wherever it occurs. Leaders include both those who are paid to lead schools and colleges and those who volunteer to govern them.

Schools and colleges serve children and young people and help them grow into fulfilled and valued citizens. As role models for the young, how we behave as leaders is as important as what we do. Leaders should show leadership through the following personal characteristics or virtues:

Trust leaders are trustworthy and reliable. We hold trust on behalf of children and should be beyond reproach. We are honest about our motivations.

Wisdom leaders use experience, knowledge and insight. We use experience, knowledge, insight, understanding and good sense to make sound judgements. We demonstrate restraint and self-awareness, act calmly and rationally, exercise moderation and propriety as we serve our schools and colleges wisely.

Kindness leaders demonstrate respect, generosity of spirit, understanding and good temper. We give difficult messages humanely where conflict is unavoidable.

Justice leaders are fair and work for the good of all children. We work fairly for the good of children from all backgrounds. We seek to enable all young people to lead useful, happy and fulfilling lives.

Service leaders are conscientious and dutiful. We demonstrate humility and self-control, supporting the structures and rules which safeguard quality. Our actions protect high-quality education.

Courage leaders work courageously in the best interests of children and young people. We protect their safety and their right to a broad, effective and creative education. We hold one another to account courageously.

Optimism leaders are positive and encouraging. Despite difficulties and pressures, we are developing excellent education to change the world for the better.

Our Vision

Learning within the family of the Endeavour Multi Academy Trust schools is an adventure rich with opportunities for lifelong learning, personal development, achievement and enjoyment. All learners are given the opportunity to take an active role in the leadership of the school, encouraging them to value themselves and recognise their own abilities and challenges. We encourage classroom environments that foster equality, diversity, respect and positive relationships. Personalised curriculums give learners the knowledge, skills, values and life skills they need to create their own successes as thoughtful and confident individuals enabling them to make successful transitions into adulthood and the world of work.

Endeavour Multi Academy Trust is an outward and dynamic organisation that embraces the new whilst retaining great pride in its bespoke academic and vocational curriculums. It is our partnership with other establishments and organisations that greatly enhances the quality of the provision offered.

  • Career awareness is an integral part of our curriculum delivery both in secondary and primary settings.
  • We ensure the curriculum is well matched to students needs and is both challenging and aspirational.
  • We seek to ensure that each school’s individual character and spirit is celebrated and protected.

High Priority Development Needs

  1. Change systems to accommodate company house requirements.
  2. Train admin staff in new procedures and protocols.
  3. Recruit/adjust staffing when needs have been identified.
  4. Develop governance and expertise.
  5. Ongoing review of SLAs and services to provide better value for money.
  6. Target individual school for capital development
  7. Target and prioritise individual schools for revenue needs
  8. Develop website and become an outside facing organisation.
  9. Prepare for a NGA assessment
  10. Develop processes to enable staff to share good practice.
  11. Develop a central policy bank and identify local policies required.
  12. Assess the need of a central base for Endeavour as the academy grows.
  13. CEO to lead in local/Staffordshire SEND prototype.
  14. Performance measurements KPIs identified at school and MAT level (To include financial targets)
  15. Endeavour brand to be established and advertised.
  16. Target the growth of the MAT to 5 schools in two years.
  17. Performance management system to be adjusted to target Endeavour employees.
